Users sign up with hashed passwords and expiring JWT logins, add free books in one click or buy paid books through a checkout dialog, and see everything they own in My Library, while a rate-limited contact form saves messages to the database. It is built with a React (Vite) front end, an Express and MongoDB back end, a pluggable payment-provider folder that defaults to a test mode, and a backend test suite. Students learn JWT authentication, idempotent purchases, API rate limiting and how to structure a clean MERN project.
